EA To Reveal Plants VS Zombies: Battle For Neighborville On September 4th

Back in July of this year, EA and PopCap Games announced Plants Vs. Zombies 3. Not to get confused with said game that is going through a pre-alpha trial, EA is looking to capitalize on the franchise by bringing Plants Vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville to the gaming scene.

The upcoming game’s trailer is currently scheduled to release tomorrow or better put on September 4th. I’m assuming the game is going to launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, but we’ll see soon.

In the meantime, the following count-down-video on the official Plants Vs. Zombies YouTube channel is up.

In case you missed it, two weeks ago folks managed to get leaked video footage of Plants Vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, which you can see right here. However, it reeks of EA’s typical method of exploiting the young and normies with colorful visuals that will obviously lead to microtransactions.

The above video comes in by YouTuber Z3N. Despite the video still being up as of this writing, many thought it would stand no chance against the usual barrage of strikes, but that’s not the case.

Personally, what has my interest is how far can EA and PopCap Games screw up when it comes to live-service mechanics and microtransactions? At this point, it always seems like there’s some controversy that EA and its subsidiaries always find themselves in regarding a new release. Take Need for Speed Payback, Battlefield V, Star Wars Battlefront 2, and Anthem for example.

With that said, time will tell if Plants Vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville makes headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Lastly, September 4th will more than likely reveal everything that there is to know about this new installment in the PVZ series. This includes what platforms it will land on and what features gamers and fans alike can expect from the forthcoming game.
