Razer Blade Pro 17 Upgraded With 17-Inch 4K Display At 120Hz

Singaporean product maker, Razer, announced that their Razer Blade Pro 17 has been upgraded to sport an smooth and improved 17-inch 4K resolution display. This is an update over the typical 17-inch display that topped out at 1920 x 1080. We’re now looking at an upgrade of four times more pixels than what the previous Razer Blade Pro 17 output.

Previously gamers were able to enjoy up to 2 million pixels per frame, but now they’ll be rocking 8.2 million pixels per frame, allowing for ultra-HD movie viewing, anime-watching, and game-playing at crisp, bright, fully colored output.

Not only are we looking at a 4K output but the refresh rate is situated at 120Hz, meaning you can gain an upward of 100 frames per second with each refresh, giving you the smoothest output imaginable for a laptop.

The Razer Blade Pro 17 comes with a UHS-III SD Card reader, a Wi-Fi 6 adapter, Bluetooth 5 support, a USB-C port, and Thunderbolt 3 capabilities. The laptop is equipped with 16GB of DDR4 RAM, PCIe SSD, and an unoccupied m.2 storage port for RAID configurations. A vapor chamber cooling system is embedded for top notch performance without the cost of overheating, and an Intel Core i7 with Turbo Boost capabilities of up to 4.5GHz.

The original Razer Blade Pro 17 rocked a $2,499.99 price tag. The 4K edition of the Razer Blade Pro 17 will cost you $3,699.99 in the U.S., and China starting today, September 23rd. Those of you gaming out of the U.K., or Germany will have to wait until the fourth quarter of 2019, where the Razer Blade Pro 17 will be available for 3,999.99€.

I really don’t see why anyone would spend that amount of money on a gaming laptop, but I suppose if you spend most of your life traveling on planes, trains, boats and automobiles, it would make sense that if you did want to game you would have to do so with a portable device. Nevertheless, it seems a little too pricey for my tastes. You can learn more about the new Razer Blade Pro by visiting the official Razer website.
