The Surge 2 is getting ready to launch tomorrow or on September 24th, and the character creator has surfaced in a new video. The Upcoming RPG title, from Focus Home Interactive and Deck13, aims to bring third-person souls-like action across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
The Surge 2 seeks to expand on what made the original by adding places to explore with sprawling branches in the devastated Jericho City along with a new limb targeting system. Ferocious fights can lead to slashing and tearing the limbs off your opponents and using those limbs as equipment or upgrades.
Overall, the game is taking the Surge formula and stepping it up a notch for those looking to take advantage of this new system. However, your created character can sharpen their goods on these new mechanics, but the tools and templates to make your very own character either produce a generic-looking person or a social justice specimen.
Right now, The Surge 2 character editor consists of General (a standard template that you can randomize), Hair, Skin, Face Shape, Eyes, Eyebrows, Nose, Mouth, Ears, and Outfit as seen below thanks to YouTuber Trophygamers:
In the character editor, as of now, there are no options to change your character’s body size, boobs, or height. However, this can all change in a day one patch or some form of a future update, but I doubt it.
It’s a real shame that this character creator doesn’t let you easily create cool looking characters (especially sexy females). The good news is the PC version supports mods and stuff, which means you can edit your character the way you want sooner or later.
Anyway, you can look to snag the second installment in the Surge series by either pre-ordering (which I don’t advise) or by waiting for it to launch tomorrow for PC via Steam, PS4, and Xbox One.
