Square Enix has released a new gameplay trailer for The 2020 JRPG, Trials of Mana, leading up to the Tokyo Game Show 2019. The new in-game footage reveals familiar faces, class changing, second-tier bosses, and Flammie the flying dragon creature.
Moreover, the remake of the much older JRPG in question is coming to PC via Steam, PS4, and Switch on April 24th, 2020. In other words, gamers and fans alike have around seven months to wait before Trials of Mana becomes available.
In the meantime, we get to see Lise and Hawk’s voluptuous rival Belladonna (best known as Bigieu or Isabella), Carlie and the Death Jester, the second tier boss in the Forest of Wonder “Mispolm the god-beast of wood,” the sexy Angela — the daughter of the Queen of Altena — class change, and more.
Anyway, you can check out the latest TGS 2019 trailer for Trials of Mana that clocks in at two minutes and 20 seconds thanks to Square Enix Japanese YouTube channel.
If the game seems rough around the edges, it’s best to keep in mind that Trials of Mana is due out early 2020. In other words, the game has many months of development time ahead of it.
The real questions that remain unanswered are, will the female outfits face censorship on the PS4? Will the Lamian Naga summon spell face censorship? Will “game journos” and Resetera lose their mind and force Square Enix to censor other aspects of the game like Belladonna turning into a busty cat? Time will tell.
If you didn’t already know, I’m personally excited to see the 1995 game come to the 3D realm without any current year political stuff. Although the game isn’t in the clear just yet, given the aforementioned trials it has to go through, I do hope gamers can enjoy the remake unscathed when it launches for PC via Steam, PS4, and Switch on April 24th, 2020.
