Fairy Tail Trailer Features Traditional JRPG Combat, Plenty Of Big Anime Boobs
Fairy Tail

Koei Tecmo released the first full gameplay trailer for Fairy Tail, the upcoming role-playing game based on the popular anime. The new two minute trailer outlines some of the locations you’ll visit, some of the characters you’ll play, and how the combat system works.

The trailer outlines some of the members of the Fairy Tail guild you’ll be able to play, as well as what the over-arching story is about which centers around the guild having to build themselves up from the dredges of the guild ranks after seven years of being away from the guild scene.

You can check out the trailer below.

The game will include some fan-faorite story arcs, including the Grand Magic Games and the Tartaros arcs.

You’ll be able to play as Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Hearfilia, Erza Scarlet, and Wendy Marvell, and Gray Fullbuster to name a few.

The early portions of the game will center around building up your rank as a guild, and from there more quests and stories will unfold.

Combat is based around traditional turn-based JRPG mechanics, where you’ll take turns controlling each character, with the combat options being mapped to the face buttons of the Nintendo Switch and PS4.

There’s a 20 minute demonstration of the Fairy Tail combat system and quest setup on PlayStation Access from EGX London that you can check out below.

Most of the combat mechanics are what you’ve become familiar with in other JRPGs, but Gust did go out of their way to add a few neat new mechanics, such as being able to choose the grid position of AOE attacks, as well as being able to start party-chain combos that will require timed button presses on the part of the player.

Aesthetically it reminds me a lot of Dragon Quest 11 but the gameplay is like a turn-based version of Tales Of titles.

If you’ve played other Gust JRPGs then you’ll likely be right at home with Fairy Tail on PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

The game is chock full of fan-service, so they know who their audience is. There’s plenty of short skirts, big anime boobs, hot waifus, and dangerous ladies to encounter. There’s a little bit of something in there for everyone, including the lolis.

No release date has been set yet, but the game is scheduled to drop at some point in 2020.
