To The Moon 3: Impostor Factory Set To Launch In Late 2020

Freebird Games announced that To The Moon 3 is coming to PC, Mac and Linux in 2020. More specifically, they have plans on releasing the game in late 2020. So don’t expect any early bird launches during the first half of the year. The announcement was accompanied by the live Steam store page and a brand new trailer that clocks in at nearly four minutes.

The trailer recounts the first two games, To The Moon and Finding Paradise, and then gives gamers a brief hint at what to expect from the third game, Impostor Factory.

You can check out the mysterious announcement trailer below, which was posted up on Kan Gao’s YouTube channel during Thanksgiving.

The press release for the game describes it as a “bonkers time-loop tragicomedy murder mystery thriller involving multiple casualties and a suspicious cat”.

I have no idea what that really means, and the YouTube comments are all filled with the sort of responses one might expect to see on Twitter, which means you’ll likely contract cancer if you stay there for too long and read what those nobodies have to say.

In any case, the game is still a pixelated, 16-bit style throwback to the SNES era of JRPGs. The press release is extremely vague, mentioning only that it’s labeled as Episode X, but you’ll have to play the game to figure out how it’s connected to the other two entries.

They also mention that you don’t have to play the first two games to understand Impostor Factory.

It also mentions that this will likely mark the “end of an era” both for Freebird Games and for the To The Moon series.

Again, it’s very cryptic and I have no idea what they’re talking about. In any case, you can wishlist the game right now or keep an eye on the Steam page for further updates.
