Scorn Update Coming Soon, According To Backer Email

Ebb Software has been very quiet as of late, and the reason, according to the devs, is that the team has a lot of work to do on the first-person shooter as well as not wanting to spoil the story before launch. Well, according to a backer, the game will supposedly receive an update either late this month or early 2020.

In other words, Scorn is not dead and is still alive and kicking as if it were a creature made of flesh and bones.

The email suggesting to gamer, fans and backers alike that Scorn will bring new info soon comes from the “comments” section on the game’s Kickstarter page via a user name Alejandro.

Hungry fans looking for any information to sink their teeth into just might find what they want all thanks to the following email that Alejandro received not too long ago:

“Hey Alejandro, sorry for the delay, we’re finishing an important part of the game this week, and we’ve been at it for months. We’ll discuss potential updates next week so we’ll either have end of the year or start of the year update, depending on the timeline.”

I’m sure many fans that have backed Scorn facing the current radio silence are pretty mad or worried in that the last update was back in August of this year (2019).

The good news is that the small team is trying to bring PC gamers a quality product free of DRM, loot-boxes, and other egregious things that are plaguing the games industry.

Speaking of Ebb Software steering away from greedy practices, the devs refused the Epic Games Store’s money and “revenue split” by telling another backer the following:

“We’re not looking for exclusive deals, especially since this Kickstarter campaign was made before the Epic game store and we promised Steam and DRM free versions of the game.”

Back on August 8th, 2018, Ebb Software announced that Scorn was to release as a complete game — meaning that there are no more parts. As of now, the game has no release date and is to release on PC via Steam and have a DRM free version. If the game does well, a PS4 and Xbox One version will go into production.
