If you know Platinum Games, then you know that the team is bringing something stylized with a form of hack-and-slash action, and that couldn’t be truer in the case of Babylon’s Fall. The upcoming game due out for PC via Steam and PS4 has no release date.
We finally get to see more of what Babylon’s Fall has to offer. For those around to see the previous trailer can recall that it was all CGI, whilst teasing the atmosphere of said game’s world.
Thanks to Square Enix sharing a clip of the forthcoming game to Sony via State of Play, we now know that Babylon’s Fall is a game about taking on multiple foes using melee combos in a world that looks slightly painted.
With all of that said, you can check out publisher Square Enix and developer Platinum Games’ latest showing of Babylon’s Fall right here:
“Here’s an early look at BABYLON’S FALL, revealing its fluid action gameplay and striking art style.
A ground breaking project developed in partnership with renowned action specialists PlatinumGames Inc. (NieR:Automata), keep your eyes open for more information about BABYLON’S FALL next summer!”
After watching this trailer, I’m picking up some Nier: Automata and Devil May Cry vibes. And I know this sounds cliché, but the boss battle has hints of Dark Souls vibes, too. Nevertheless, we’ll see how the game pans out when more gameplay footage surfaces in the near future.
Speaking of Devil May Cry, while we wait for more info to drop on this game, it looks like folks might be able to wield guns according to the big guy on the far right. Alternatively, he could be holding an oddly shaped shield:
Anywho, the good news is that we’ll learn more about Babylon’s Fall next summer, which means info will pop up around E3 2020 for those eager to know more.
