The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters Graduates From Early Access In Late January, 2020

If you’ve been keeping an eye on Devespresso Games and Headup’s side-scrolling horror title, The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters, but you weren’t quite fond of the fact that it was still in Early Access, will rest easy knowing that the game will graduate from Early Access in late January of 2020. That’s just a week away, folks.

The studios announced that the final chapter for the game will be implemented during the Early Access phase starting with update 0.3.0.

Now there’s some good news and bad news that comes with the update.

The bad news first. All your saved data will have to be wiped on the launch day since some of the changes to the game will alter the way it plays, and so to ensure that saved files don’t become corrupted and unusable anyway, they’re just wiping the saves and starting over from scratch.

However, the good news is that whatever achievements you’ve unlocked during your game sessions will carry over into the full game when it does release. So it’s not all bad.

What’s interesting is that Devespresso and Headup are actually offering gamers bonus items for purchasing the title during Early Access. Usually you get all the good stuff AFTER Early Access. But as a show of appreciation for helping find the bugs and glitches ahead of the full release, those who purchase the game ahead of its graduation are granted access to the survival guide, the artbook, and the original soundtrack.

The game’s unique manwa-inspired visuals and side-scrolling survival-horror elements helps separate it from a bunch of other games out there.

I’ve never been fond of the Flash-style animation workflow given that the characters usually move like puppets, but the overall art design in The Coma 2 is quite fetching so I’m willing to give it a pass.

You can purchase the game right now in Early Access for $11.99, but during the Winter Sale it’s marked down by 20% off the normal price, so you can pick it up for $9.59 from the Steam store for a limited time.
