The Wolf Among Us Season 2 Announced… Again

Telltale went broke back in September of 2018. When the company dissolved some of the projects they were working on got axed or put on indefinite hold, such as the remaining episodes for the final season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us: Season 2. Well, Skybound Entertainment stepped in to pay for the final episode of The Walking Dead, while Warner Bros, DC Comics and Adhoc Studios are currently collaborating on the second season of The Wolf Among Us.

During this year’s The Game Awards, hosted by the Dorito Pope himself, Geoff Keighley, there was an announcement for The Wolf Among Us: Season 2, which re-introduced gamers to the niche series… again.

You can check out the trailer below courtesy of MKIceandFire.

There’s nothing to the trailer other than a minute long teaser. The first time the game was announced back in July of 2017, it was the same thing. Simple and vague.

This time around there’s a moody zoom from a seedy window looking out across snow-covered rooftops on a chilly winter’s night.

We hear a motivational speech being given to the main character from the first season, Bigby, as he’s being told that they need that monster within him.

Inside the motel room, we see

Maroon, faded by the darkened room, echoes dim neon lights against the wall and the outline of a clearly sullen Bigby; burning cigarette in hand, sitting in front of the open window; shoulders slumped; head down; dampened demeanor.

His intent unclear, but obviously he’s not in the best of moods.

From there the title appears and we’re treated to the official logo.

Instead of worrying about the plot or how the story unfolds, I think most people are concerned with whether or not Telltale will even be able to finish the full season this time around. Mismanagement and poor planning brought the studio down the first time, and so now we’ll see if they learned from their mistakes or if they’re going to try to play ball the same time twice?

We’ll find out when The Wolf Among Us 2 drops for home consoles and PC.
