AO Tennis 2 Is Now Available For PC; Arrives Feb 11th For PS4, Xbox One, Switch

Bigben Interactive and Big Ant Studios proudly announced that the PC version of AO Tennis 2 is now available. The console version of the game is also scheduled to release for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 starting February 11th, 2020.

The main hook for the game is that it contains a full-on career mode where you create your character, attempt make your way through various matches, earn some money, buy new gear for your character, and even interact with the media, the officials, and other players on the court.

The career mode is themed around player-driven choices. You can choose to be sarcastic or cordial with the media, which can make or break your popularity, or incur penalties from officials. Some people might be wondering “Why would be snarky with the media?” well, because controversy sells. A “bad boy” or “bad girl” of tennis is a great way to raise your profile at the expense of potential expulsion or potential backfires and the media becoming your enemy.

I don’t know how well the career mode choices have been implemented, but hopefully they’re more diverse than the “diversity” laced abomination that was the FIFA career mode that Electronic Arts tried to sell gamers on for several years with the fictional soccer prospect named Alex Hunter.

Beyond the career mode, there are also a number of other customization features present in AO Tennis 2, including the ability to customize and create your own Australian park. You can modify the stadium, attendance setup, court type, as well as including various indoor or outdoor options for the competitors.

Of course, while AO Tennis 2 might look like a solid new entry in the interactive tennis arena, it might be best to wait for user reviews and see what their feedback is like before diving in.

This is also a nice boon for Switch owners because there aren’t many notable sports games on Nintendo’s little hybrid that could. As mentioned, you can grab a digital copy of AO Tennis 2 from over on the Steam store for PC, with the console versions due out next month.
