Folks looking for exclusive titles on whichever console of choice will eventually find them on other platforms, including PC. Well, it looks like the same concept applies to Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn if a new report holds any weight.
Firstly, I would like to stress that I’m not fond of Jason Schreier and his opinions. However, there’s no doubt that he uses his social justice connections throughout this cesspit we call the games industry to source information ahead of time.
With that said, devs that share the same social justice view as Schreier have come forth to talk to him anonymously to say that the feminist dripping game best known as Horizon Zero Dawn will head to PC sometime later this year (2020).
The 2017 title will head to Steam and the Epic Games Store, although I should note that Schreier’s leaker notes that the storefront in question hasn’t been finalized yet.
In case you don’t want to take a trip down over to Kotaku (web.archive.org), you can read Schreier’s write-up covering the almighty “anonymous source” right here:
“Now, three years later, Horizon will be on another platform for the first time. We expect to see the game on both Steam and the Epic Games Store when it launches (although that may not be finalized yet). It will be the first Guerrilla game on a non-PlayStation platform since Sony purchased the Netherlands-based studio in 2005. It will also be an opportunity for Guerrilla to show off its technical chops—Horizon: Zero Dawn, restrained by the PlayStation 4’s hardware, was locked at a framerate of 30 frames per second. We expect the PC version to be more capable.”
Sadly, since a lot of devs lean on the progressive SJW side, Schreier has a near-infinite amount of leakers to tell him stuff regarding upcoming games and their schedules.
In addition to the above, we can trace this back to stuff like the infamous Fallout 76 leak and other titles, but it doesn’t rid him of being the typical current year anti-gamer.
With that said, if the leak is true, PC goers will have the square-faced Aloy to assume when the title drops sometime later this year either on Steam or the Epic Games Store.
