Resident Evil 3 Remake Will See More Changes Than Resident Evil 2 Remake

If you have ever played Resident Evil 2 Remake, you’ll know that there were changes made to the game when comparing it to the OG version. Well, Resident Evil 3 Remake will have “even more” changes spanning from gameplay to the story.

Famitsu has an interview up with Resident Evil 3 Remake’s producers Peter Fabiano and Masao Kawada, and like any other interview, this one touches on a lot of stuff.

For starters, even if you aren’t a fan of the game or Jill’s look or for that matter what has been shown so far, new info is here via a translation of the Famitsu interview that has up.

The website sees Kawada saying that the story beats would be nearly the same, but more “rearrangements” are in place than Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Kawada continues and says that those who know the game’s original ending and story will be able to find something fresh when playing the remake.

In addition to the above, Kawada points to Carlos and his new design and how it will affect his personality and role in the story. In other words, if you want to see changes and experience new stuff like in Resident Evil 2 Remake, then know that Resident Evil 3 Remake will expand on those changes/alterations.

Website also points out that the forthcoming Resident Evil title by Capcom is to expand on supporting characters in that they are getting bigger roles. I’m not sure how true that is or how that will play out, but it still fits in line with Capcom wanting to change things up.

Last but not least, contrary to changes coming to the game slated to hit PC, PS4, and Xbox One on April 3rd, 2020, you can see an “in-game still” of Jill and Carlos’ OG outfit right here:
