Conglomerate 451 Cyberpunk DRPG Is Now Available On GOG, Steam

RuneHeads and 1C Entertainment announced that Conglomerate 451 is currently available right now on Steam and GOG.com for PC. The game graduated from Early Access just recently, giving gamers an opportunity to deep-dive into a cyberpunk-themed DRPG for PC.

The game’s plot seems fairly straightforward at a glance. You’re commissioned by the Senate of the Conglomerate to clean up all the crime in sector 451. You’ll have to recruit or genetically engineer super operatives in order to infiltrate the crime-ridden city full of the exact kind of diversity that’s wiping civilized society off the face of the map in Sweden, Germany, and Britain.

You’ll have a variety of cybernetic implants, upgrades and high-tech weapons at your disposal as you traverse through the grid-based dungeon RPG that hearkens back to the old Might & Magic days, only this time around there’s a sexy slathering of a cyberpunk motif draped over the experience.

You can check out the gameplay below via the launch trailer.

The game’s graduation from Early Access wasn’t all hotwired rainbows and netrunning lollipops, though.

The current user review rating on Steam sits at “Mixed”. Why? Well, there are a number of quality of life issues that users have complained about regarding game balance, AI, and a rather annoying android sidekick.

Many of the complaints were directly addressed in the February 24th, 2020 1.1.0 patch that added, fixed, and changed a few things around.

They added a volume slider for AI sidekick’s voice, as well as fixed a few issues with the enemies, including a crash during the first boss fight.

Some descriptions and interface issues have been fixed, along with displaying the Agent’s name in the HUD during the missions.

Now some people like the classic DRPG design but others hate it. Some felt like it was a missed opportunity to have a cool synthwave soundtrack made by some of the popular retrowave artists that have seen a surge in popularity in recent times. Whether or not the developer will take advantage of that remains to be seen, but if you were interested in the game you can pick up a digital copy from the Steam store or from GOG.com for $19.99.
