Kenji Hiruta Continues Attempt To Revive Skies Of Arcadia, Gains Support From Another Dev

If you don’t know, Kenji Hiruta has worked on games such as Sakura Wars and, of course, Skies of Arcadia. As of 2020, he wants to revive the Skies of Arcadia IP by churning out a remaster, remake, or sequel, and it looks like he’s building up support ever since his late January attempt.

Late last month, we reported on Hiruta wanting to gather up fan requests and other forms of hard data to send straight to the house of Sonic — best known as Sega.

Well, Hiruta has mustered up the strength to document up to 2,730 people that he can contact, which could potentially get the ball rolling so that fans might see something new regarding Skies of Arcadia.

Conducting an unorthodox plan, Hiruta believes if he draws from a random number from those 2,730 people that have connections to the game, check whether the picked person applies or not, and if they do, he’ll send that person a DM to make sure they’re in support of his work.

After this, he’ll move on to the next person until he has enough supporters to organize and then send to Sega:

In a strange way, this method seems to have worked in that a designer at Vertalex Studios, which is a new startup company, has accepted his message and will stand by Hiruta in his efforts:

The startup company is currently working on mobile stuff and is looking to announce something in the near future:

“We are a London based video games start up, currently working on a few exciting things for mobile platforms… Stay tuned for news!”

Lastly, Hiruta has a folder of requests by fans sent to Sega, and now he’s building up another portfolio that consists of developers. Hopefully, this second round of supporters will get Sega’s attention.

If you want to help him, you can hit up his Twitter account where he’ll keep you posted on the revival of Skies of Arcadia:
