Mount And Blade 2: Bannerlord Devs To Update Game’s Forums For Better Mod Support

According to the devs, Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord’s Steam Early Access run is a month away and to show support so that the game can take off running when it hits the ground, the devs are overhauling the game’s official forums to make sure the modding scene is par for the course.

As you know, modding can take a game a long way. Take Doom 1 and Doom 2, both games still have people playing and making major mods, wads and other expansions related to the series older than your average Fortnite player.

Of course, other games such as Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy and many other PC titles are transformed or revived by the modding scene, which will be supported once again by TaleWorlds Entertainment.

You’ve read right, the devs behind Mount and Blade: Warband and Mount and Blade: With Fire and Sword will continue bringing mods to the 2020 due edition known as Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, meaning that Deus Vult mods and the like should be welcomed.

On a blog post on store.steampowered.com, we learn that TaleWorlds Entertainment is in the process of overhauling the official forums so that gamers and fans can experience a better and more efficient board. Additionally, modding will have its own section given that Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord’s Early Access release is on the horizon.

Here’s the official notice regarding modding from TaleWorlds Entertainment:

“Modding has always been a major part of Mount & Blade games, and as such, we wanted to provide our modding community with a dedicated area where they can come together to share their knowledge and ideas with other modders and present their mods to the wider community. In other words, the modding section is a new hub for all things modding!”

The overhaul post also touches on other things such as chatting, prefixing, and how the history log of the old forums will carry over to the new version. However, let’s hope the devs don’t pull a current year stunt on us and bring out the ban hammer — given that they want the new forums to be “chill.”

In the meantime, Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord will release on Steam Early Access this March. More info on this game can be found by visiting taleworlds.com.
