Studio Klondike released a new trailer for the gay furry series Nekojishi. The franchise is in the process of receiving a sequel called Nekojishi: Lin & Partners. The trailer covers the story so far, as well as highlights that the sequel is currently being crowdfunded on Kickstarter.
Unlike the original outing, which was a gay visual novel that involved a lot of furry-on-furry sex, the sequel takes a more traditional approach to game design, featuring a 3D overworld and actual RPG mechanics.
If you didn’t actually know any better, you might think it was a real game.
The Taiwanese developers are currently seeking additional funds to help reach stretch goals over on the Kickstarter page.
The lengthy trailer covers the basis of the original game and the story therein.
The sequel takes a decidedly different turn, combining the likes of furrydom with an Ace Attorney approach.
You’ll have to explore the game’s world, help out NPCs with their problems, and solve puzzles. The game’s combat mechanics involve debating instead of killing.
You can check out the announcement trailer below to get an idea of what the gameplay will be like on the Switch and PC.
As depicted in the trailer, if all goes as planned the game will release in 2021 on Switch and PC.
They’ve already managed to surpass their initial goal by leaps and bounds and plan on hitting those stretch goals before the campaign wraps up.
So long as furries know their role and keep to their own esoteric fandom without causing problems (opposite of those in the LGBTQIA+ community) then they can have their little niche.
And to their credit, at least most furries don’t seem to invade and then co-opt other popular brands like their insufferable counterparts. So I can at least give them that much. That doesn’t mean furries are good by any stretch of the imagination… no sirree. Always keep those flamethrowers at the ready when you hear those yiffs.
