Nioh 2 Tops The UK Charts By Beating Out Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare

It looks like Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja’s latest work has managed to keep Call of Duty: Modern Warfare out of the top three games on the UK charts. That’s correct, Nioh 2 sits at the top spot, beating out both FIFA 20 and Grand Theft Auto V.

I’m not sure how long Nioh 2 will stay at the top spot on the UK charts, but for now, the action-adventure title is currently over the big bad three — which is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, FIFA 20, and Grand Theft Auto V.

Website gamesindustry.biz reports that Mario Kart 8: Deluxe is in second place and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX has moved down from first to third place after one week.

For those of you that happen to be curious as to what other games are on the top ten list, the following chart has you covered:

  1. | New     Nioh 2
  2. | 8         Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
  3. | 1         Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX
  4. | 2         Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
  5. | 4         FIFA 20
  6. | 3         Grand Theft Auto 5
  7. | 5         Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
  8. | 10       Luigi’s Mansion 3
  9. | 7         Minecraft (Switch)
  10. | 13       Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020

As always, the first number represents this week’s placement. The second number serves as last week’s placement, while “New” stands for a new entry on the list.

Moreover, we see Mario Kart 8: Deluxe climb up from eighth up to second, where the notorious Grand Theft Auto V manages to stay in the top ten despite being moved out of the top three by Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX.

Lastly, folks interested in Nioh 2 can look forward to three expansions that will go live sometime in the future. However, season pass holders will have access to said content as well as owners of the digital deluxe edition and those that pay for each DLC separately.

In the meantime, Nioh 2 is out now for PS4. Sadly, no official word on the PC version has surfaced yet.
