Evolutis Gameplay Video Previews Motorcycle Riding, Combat, Dialogue System

PM Studios and Poke Life Studio’s Evolutis was announced back in January of this year for home consoles and PC. The game uses rotoscoping and action scenario framing based on popular anime from the 1980s. A new video was released featuring nearly six minutes of gameplay footage and you can check out what the navigation, interactivity, and fighting mechanics are like.

YouTuber Rob Cram posted up the video, which you can check out below.

The clip starts with Damon moving around the town, giving his impressipns about the town and the people as he walks down the street.

In the clip Damon talks to a panda guy as part of a quest to get his hands on a gun but the panda guy dumped the gun. He talks to a homeless guy to find out more and then digs through the trash to find the gun that the panda guy dumped.

After getting the gun he uses it to commandeer a cool looking bike and then takes to the highway to travel to the DreamCatcher arcade.

The soundtrack in the game is pretty cool, featuring some retrowave tracks to match the cyberpunk atmosphere.

Also, the game doesn’t completely fill its streets with non-stop degeneracy like Cyberpunk 2077. Some of the environments and visuals actually look pretty cool.

Eventually Damon makes his way to an alley and talks to a bouncer. His gun is taken but he manages to get his hands on a axe to kill some of the baddies in the alley.

The fight sequences are a mix of real-time maneuvers requiring attacks, blocks, and dodges, as well as quick-time events when it zooms in close, similar to the Klose Kombat feature from DC Universe Vs Mortal Kombat.

I really hope that this game isn’t co-opted with Left-wing agitprop. It’s such a tiring thing when a game looks interesting but then the entire thing is subverted with agenda-pushing.

Anyway, Evolutis is due out for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
