If you wanted something translated right in this day and age, you need fans to translate it, otherwise you’ll end up with pickle juice, big holes, or furry lesbian super hero references. The good part about fan translations is that they’re faithful to the original creator’s work, and so they typically attempt to keep as close to the original meanings as possible, especially when it comes to Japanese titles.
All that being said, Minato Soft’s Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai! A-3, oftentimes abbreviated to Majikoi, has been correctly translated by a group of fans, and you can download said English translation right now from over on the Mega.nz web portal.
Don’t worry, the patch is a painless 35MB download, so you don’t have to worry about burning up a lot of bandwidth just to play an English version of the 2014 visual novel.
And yes, according to the Maji Translations WordPress site, they retained all of the H-scenes from the original Japanese version.
The game is a romantic dating visual novel, with each volume in the entry containing various routes for the girls. The A-3 route contains Lee, Stacy, and Tsubame.
As noted by the VNDB, the unofficial fan-patch is the only English version of the visual novel available. It was a labor of love for the people working on it at Maji Translations, so hopefully the fans enjoy it, too.
For those of you wondering why there is no English translation, well it’s because two years ago Jast USA promised that there would be an English translation of the original Majikoi (also known in English as Do Love Me Seriously!, but they’ve only offered some reminders that they’re working on it with no release date in sight.
