Square Enix Teases PC Version Of Final Fantasy VII Remake With New “Thank You” Video

On multiple occasions, we’ve reported on Square Enix bringing Final Fantasy VII Remake to PC, which in turn makes the game a PS4 timed exclusive. Well, in a new video that stands as a “thank you” to patient gamers and fans alike reveals the footage in said video was captured on PC.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is now available to pick up and accompanying the JRPG’s release is a new video featuring Yoshinori Kitase — the lead producer of Final Fantasy VII Remake.

In the video, Kitase goes over everything that was mentioned in past promotional pieces regarding the newly released Final Fantasy game, covering the title’s graphics, gameplay, and content.

However, those that happen to be paying attention at the bottom-center of the screen at 0:04 to 0:08 of the video will notice text detailing that gameplay footage shown is “captured on PC.”

Of course, this shouldn’t come in as a surprise if you have been following the JRPG for a while. In fact, we’ve reported that Square Enix delayed Final Fantasy VII Remake from March 3rd to April 10th, 2020, which also pushed the PS4 timed exclusivity to April 10th, 2021.

So, at this point, the game is coming to PC as seen in the header image as well in the following video:

It’s unclear how the second part will meld with the PC version and if any form of cannibalism (in terms of promotional material/sales) will take place? I say this because if the PC version releases around the same time as the second part, will it fragment/disrupt the game’s audience? Time will tell.

Lastly, Final Fantasy VII Remake has launched for PS4 on April 10th, 2020, while the PC version will debut sometime after April 10th, 2021. I should also make mention that the Xbox Team had a Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer made that was later taken down, meaning that the game might hit the Xbox One family of consoles in the far future.
