Bandai Namco Reveals Scarlet Nexus Will Also Launch For PC, PS4, And PS5

Bandai Namco revealed Scarlet Nexus during Inside Xbox’s latest episode. Although the game in question may release for the Xbox family of consoles (including the next-gen Xbox Series X), it will also hit PC via Steam, PS4, and PS5.

If you happen to fancy Bandai Namco’s Scarlet Nexus, know that it won’t release specifically for Xbox One and Xbox Series X. As mentioned in the previous piece that we have up, the game was ripe to land on other platforms.

As of now, it’s unclear if Scarlet Nexus is a timed Xbox exclusive or if it’s free from said shackles? Time will tell.

In the meantime, we now know from businesswire.com the following information:

“SCARLET NEXUS will be available for the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 console, PlayStation 4 console, and PC via STEAM.”

If the above information has piqued your interest, know that Scarlet Nexus “aims to change the way gamers view Japanese RPGs” as per Stephen Akana — Senior Brand Manager for Bandai Namco Entertainment America.

In addition to the above, you can check out Scarlet Nexus‘ reveal trailer, which shows off the single-player game’s “Brain Punk” futuristic aesthetic as well as its “streamlined combat” system:

With all of that said, Scarlet Nexus‘ story explores a future where humanity happens to discover a psionic hormone in the human brain, which grants people extra-sensory powers.

In this new era, there are mutants known as the “Others” that come down from the sky craving human brains. These mutants are very formidable, forcing humanity to respond with a defense force possessing acute extra-sensory abilities — known as psionics — to fight off this dangerous threat.

From here, players will assume the role of Yuito Sumeragi — an agent of the Other Suppression Force (OSF).

Lastly, Scarlet Nexus will release sometime in the future across PC via Steam, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
