Bandai Namco revealed Scarlet Nexus during Inside Xbox’s latest episode. The forthcoming game in question sees players assuming the role of Yuito Sumeragi — an agent of the Other Suppression Force (OSF). Although slated to release for Xbox One and Xbox Series X, the game might also release for PC and other consoles in the future.

Scarlet Nexus explores the distant future where humanity discovers a psionic hormone in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powers that change the world in an irreversible way.

In this new era, deranged mutants, known as the Others, descend from the sky with a thirst for human brains. These mutants are highly resistant to conventional offense methods, forcing humanity to quickly respond with people possessing acute extra-sensory abilities — known as psionics — to fight the dangerous onslaught that is the Others.

From here, players will follow an OSF agent, Sumeragi, who is armed with psycho-kinesis to fend off this new threat to save humanity:
