Halo Master Chief Collection – Cinematic

It’s a shame because Halo used to be a pretty good franchise.

The first three games were solid enough, constantly pushing the boundaries forward and adding new features, but then after Halo: Reach the series went into regression and began focusing more on pointless and trivial matters, including identity politics, rather than staying true to the spirit of what made it famous in the first place.

Halo 4 and Halo 5 went off the deep-end, trying to center the story around Master Chief and Cortana’s romance while also introducing a bunch of characters no one cared about. Heck, to this day most people don’t know about or even talk about the other new Spartans they introduced or characters they added to the mix in the last two games. It was nice that they brought the original Blue Team back to help out the Chief, with Sam, Kelly, and Linda making an appearance, but they were handled poorly and anyone who didn’t read the books were probably left scratching their heads at their appearance in Halo 5. That’s not to mention how they covered up and SJW’d Cortana, made the Warden an annoying pest, and seemed to have no real direction for the series.

In any case, Halo: Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved are currently available to purchase on PC, while Halo 2 will soon be available as well.
