At this point, there is no denying The Last Jedi is the cinematic equivalent of herpes. An unpleasant blight we’ve convinced ourselves is gone forever until it flairs up yet again. Fortunately, this time around the news is of a more pleasant variety. Coming from an interview conducted by Jeremy from Geeks and Gamers with Hollywood screenwriter Kamran Pasha. During the full interview several topics are discussed, but importantly he reveals most Hollywood screenwriters actually hate Ryan Johnson’s subversion of Disney’s profit expectations.
Kamran Pasha isn’t a nobody, no matter how much his detractors have attempted to label him as such. A formerly acclaimed novelist, he has worked on video games, animation, and produced and written for several hit television shows, including the Golden Globe nominated Sleeper Cell. When not working as a producer slash writer, he is teaching classes on scriptwriting. A profession he gained notoriety in 2019 over after he announced he uses The Last Jedi as a teaching example of how not to make a script.
Undoubtedly many will not agree with some of his political and religious leanings, but to claim as the defenders of The Last Jedi do that he is a nobody is patently false.
During the interview, several interesting things came out. As has been heard before, many in the industry will behind closed doors admit The Last Jedi is an abysmal movie. An opinion they keep to themselves to avoid angering the access media and losing out on work. Hollywood, if anything, cannot stand contradictory opinions.
Speaking of which Pasha in the latter half of the segment reveals many in Hollywood — despite being godless atheists — have come to view their agenda pushing as doing “God’s Work.” Pushing society forward is, in their view, their calling, and everything else comes second if at all.
In short, as One Angry Gamer has reported, there is no negotiating with these people. No amount of facts can be presented to them to help them understand what they’re doing is to the detriment of not just the wider society, but the groups they claim they are championing. Groups they frequently look down on in private and increasingly in public, relying on the media to not report on their harassment of pro-Trump African Americans.

Right now, Geeks and Gamers are being hit with DMCA attacks from Naughty Dog and Sony and could use the support. As their channel frequently calls out SJW antics, YouTube if anything would love an excuse to deplatform them.
