Scorn Still Slated For PC Release While Xbox Series X Version Is Now In Development

Ebb Software is still working hard on Scorn. Although the dev team remained silent for over two years, the latest Inside Xbox event featured the upcoming game’s Xbox Series X trailer. With that said, Scorn has no release date, but it will one day release for PC and next-gen home consoles.

First and foremost, Scorn will not release on Xbox One, Xbox One S, or Xbox One X. The game will only release on next-gen consoles where Xbox Series X will get it first as an exclusive while Sony’s PS5 will likely get it later.

Moreover, PC goers will have the option to get Scorn via Steam or GOG. With all of that said, here’s the latest Xbox Series X trailer:

“Scorn is an atmospheric first-person horror adventure currently in development by Ebb Software for Xbox Series X and Windows PC.”

Mixing the works of H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński to create this wet, fleshy yet somber atmosphere, the first-person horror-adventure game will feature puzzle-solving and shooting mechanics — where ammo and resources are scarce.

You can see some of the aforesaid in action by checking out the much older gameplay video:

Furthermore, Scorn will not become an Epic Games Store timed exclusive due to a prior promise the team made to fans. And on the topic of promises, the team is still committed to releasing a non-DRM version for PC goers.

And with that said, Scorn still doesn’t have a release date. This information can be found on a newly posted thread on Steam, which elaborates on a long list of goals and development hurdles.

Lastly, Scorn will no longer release in two parts. Instead, the game will make its debut as a complete title for PC (via Steam and GOG), and Xbox Series X. Additionally, you can learn more about this game by paying scorn-game.com a visit.
