Star Citizen Free Fly Week Kicks Off With In-Game Ship Convention

For the rest of May you’ll be able to test out some of the ships in Star Citizen, as well as get an up close and personal look at some of the biggest and baddest ship classes that are currently available in the game, ranging from personal fighters to capital class carriers.

It’s been a long time in the making, but the game is finally coming together as a cohesive whole, with the ability to take on bounty missions, smuggling missions, stealing ships, tracking down criminals, escaping from prison, mining, and more.

Roberts Space Industries promised an elaborate and high-fidelity space simulation experience, and the persistent universe of the game absolutely delivers on that.

The free fly week will run from May 22nd up through June 1st. So you have some time to download the latest client and find out exactly whether or not the game is to your liking.

If you’re curious about some of the ships available in the game that you may not have access to, there’s an Invictus Launch Week celebration taking place as an in-game event that you can visit at the Bevic Convention Center at ArcCorp.

You’ll also be able to see some of the ships performing live in-game above Area 18, so be sure to look to the skies to see some of the ships in action.

It’s funny that as Cloud Imperium Games continues to advance and evolve Star Citizen into a more complete and fully-featured experience, all the anti-RSI sentiments from the media have almost completely disappeared.

It’s almost as if they were trying to veer gamers away from the only AAA game in development that actually pushes the industry forward, all while naysayers are kicking and screaming in protest.

There isn’t a game in open development right now that even comes close to the level of fidelity and feature-rich experiences as Star Citizen, but the media will never tell that side of the story. They would rather textually fellate their friends with their next LGBTQIA+ visual novel that managed to skate by Valve’s “Taste Police” with nary a blink of the eye, or denigrate real gamers for rallying against censorship in the latest hardcore shooter.

Nevertheless, so long as RSI and Cloud Imperium Games continues to update and release new content for Star Citizen, agenda-driven media and ideologically co-opted publishers will continue to fail.

If you want to experience Star Citizen for yourself, feel free to do so by visiting the official website and downloading the client.
