PAX Online Set To Go Live On September 12th, 2020

There’s going to be yet another digital event that will take place this year. Later in September, PAX Online will kick-off for the public to view from September 12th to September 20th.

If you don’t know, PAX West and PAX Australia have been canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus and the measures surrounding the pandemic. And obviously, the two events will no longer go live this year.

Nevertheless, ReedPop (the organizer over PAX) announces that PAX West and PAX Australia will have a replacement this year via a nine-day online event dubbed PAX Online. As mentioned above, this will take place in September.

The event in question will be free and open to the public like any other gaming event that’s digital, as mentioned on paxsite.com:

“In our previous post, we explained that while we still had hoped to bring you PAX West this year, protecting the safety and health of our community is our highest priority. The more we worked on a solution, the more it became clear that if we really wanted to welcome everybody home, we’d have to remove the physical barriers entirely, and simply take PAX Online.

Going digital means a lot more than just a change in venue though, and by transcending the physical, in fact, we’re able to do more PAX than ever before!

PAX Online is the result of the convention-organizing supergroup made up of the people responsible for PAX West, PAX Australia, as well as our new friends at EGX to create our new PAX Online and deliver a steady 24/7 stream of content, events, discussions, and gameplay.

Oh, and did we say 24/7? We actually meant 24/9, because we’re going to be running this virtual shindig for nine straight days, from September 12th through the 20th.”

If you didn’t read the long wall of text, none-stop content running each and every day will not only be a thing, but digital panels, concerts, and competitions will surface too.

Sadly, new games and announcements haven’t been made yet, meaning that we are left in the dark when it comes to what vendors or exhibitors will showcase in the next three months. In the meantime, you can find out more about PAX Online by paying paxsite.com a visit.
