Shinji Mikami Has No Issues With Recent Resident Evil 4 Remake Rumors

A new report has gone up that sees former Resident Evil 4 game director, Shinji Mikami, addressing the current rumors circulating around the net about Resident Evil 4 receiving a remake. As it stands now, Mikami is not against the prospect of the 2005 game gaining a remake in current year.

To put things into perspective, website videogameschronicle.com has a somewhat decent and notable track record when it comes to rumors. For instance, the website made mention back on December 10th, 2019, that former PlatinumGames CEO Tsutomu Teranishi, in a way, returned to Capcom with ex-PlatinumGames devs to start up a new company named M-Two.

As of March 30th, 2020, the publication site looked over Resident Evil 3 Remake’s credits and found that it names a handful of M-Two employees as well as Teranishi.

As of today, the publication site cites Mikami’s thoughts on the rumors surrounding the possibility of there being a Resident Evil 4 Remake, which the founder of Tango Gameworks expresses his feelings below:

“As long as it turns out good I have no issues with it.”

The founder of Tango Gameworks was later asked about his overall impression of Capcom’s Resident Evil remakes, Mikami’s response lies below:

“I saw a video of the Resident Evil 2 Remake and I thought it was very good. I think they’re going to continue to remake these games since they’re selling well.”

Not too long ago, website videogameschronicle.com also reported on Resident Evil 4 Remake having a larger development team than the previous two remakes thanks to Capcom’s internal Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5 teams.

And lastly, the website notes that M-Two has been paying attention to Resident Evil 3 Remake’s feedback after the game received lower review scores than its predecessor. With that said, we’ll see whether or not the rumor is true when time unveils the supposed remake that’s due to release sometime in 2022.
