Companies are looking to make bank and push current year politics on consumers through battle royale games since they are the “new thing.” And as of now, there’s going to be yet another battle royale game joining the fray, and this one comes from Ubisoft Montréal dubbed “Hyper Scape.”
The tired trend continues, and sadly it looks like we won’t be seeing the end of battle royale titles anytime soon given that multiple triple-A companies can push social justice through said genre — like in Apex Legends — while making money through microtransactions.
In addition to the above, Ubisoft and its Montréal branch will continue the battle royale genre through a new game titled Hyper Scape. According to website dsogaming.com, it will be a fast-paced free-to-play first-person shooter set in a futuristic battle royale environment.
The publication site managed to pull up the following artwork of Hyper Scape via Ubisoft Middle East’s Twitter account:

If you don’t know, the same team behind Rainbow Six and Assassin’s Creed will be working on this new game, so expect some similarities from the former title to pop up in the upcoming battle royale title.
In the meantime, Hyper Scape has a website teasing some lore and other stuff related to the game‘s world. However, actual information on the game will surface on July 2nd, 2020, which means we’ll more than likely see current year propaganda mixed with soulless battle royale gameplay later this week.
And lastly, no word on platforms has appeared, but it’s safe to assume that Ubisoft — who is on the Traitors of America master list — will release the game for PC (via Uplay and possibly Epic Games Store as a timed exclusive), PS4, Xbox One, and next-gen consoles. Anyway, you can check out more on Hyper Scape by paying prismadimensions.com a visit.
