Bus Simulator 21 Headed To PC, PS4, Xbox One In 2021

Astragon Entertainment and Stillalive Studios announced that the successor to Bus Simulator 18, aptly titled Bus Simulator 21 will be launching in 2021 for the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and on Steam for PC. The developers are also looking into researching the possibility of porting up the game to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. However, given how both consoles seem underwhelming in one way or another, the launch sales for the consoles just might be disappointing enough to result in Stillalive foregoing the next-gen twins altogether.

Anyway, Bus Simulator 21 is running on the Unreal Engine and still hones in on the concept of creating your own routes, maintaining your own bus, and carving out a path as the best bus driver around.

A short teaser trailer that clocks in at just under a minute was released, basically showing off the different locations and landmarks that you’ll be passing by on your travels. Unfortunately we don’t get to see any actual gameplay or management or bus customization. You can check out the trailer below.

The big change for the upcoming Bus Simulator 21 is the inclusion of a fictional American city known as “Angel Shores”, which has its design rooted in the inspiration of the sociopolitical cesspit known as San Francisco.

The city contains various districts to visit in a large open-world, including an industrial district, suburban areas, tourist spots, downtown and even a recreation of Chinatown.

The cooperative multiplayer mode will be making a return, allowing gamers to create custom routes and work together to build up their busing empire.

Timetable management will also be present so you can automate your bus fleet’s schedule, along with assigning the AI tasks that you plot out on the manifest.

In addition to the main task of building up your bus fleet and becoming a transport empire, there will also be side-missions and random events to experience as well in the sandbox mode.

Bus Simulator 21 is due out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2021. For more info feel free to visit the official Bus Simulator website.
