The Falconeer Launches for Series X and PC

The Falconeer

Flashback with me for a moment to when YouTuber ItsAGundam was covering the ongoing Bethesda paid mod fiasco and its fallout. In the public eye, outrage from the consumer was constant, and modders who had their work stolen were beginning to discuss taking legal action against Steam and Bethesda for selling their work. As ItsAGundam would report, behind the scenes, many of the modders considered this stunt the final straw.

Going forward, many of them were leaving the mod scene. Not to abandon their passion, but instead to set up their own studios. Producing at them their own games rather than creating free content for a company they viewed as having no respect or gratitude towards them.

The creator of Moonpath to Elsweyr was one such modder who left to form his own studio. Now he proudly releases The Falconeer for PC and Xbox Series X/S.

Early reviews for the game have been positive from both “critics” and consumers alike. With the art style, gameplay, and overall content being praised in reviews. On the other hand, the PC controls have been regarded even by people who enjoy the game as horrendous. Requiring players to get a controller if they want to be able to play the game properly.

The PC port’s stability appears to be good, so if you were looking forward to this game on steam, you might want to grab a controller to play it.

Descriptions from Steam
