Spearhead Studios and Playtech Strike a Deal

There are good times coming for players at Playtech powered online casinos. Soon they will spin high quality slots from Spearhead Studios, which will become available through the Playtech Games Marketplace. The commercial details of the transaction are not yet in public domain, but the players at online casinos are concerned with the gaming content and not with how much money has changed hands.

In this article we highlight what Playtech players can expect from Spearhead Studios slots. Playtech has lots more on the cards with quite a few other agreements and we will acquaint you with that as well.

What Spearhead Studios Will Bring to the Table

Spearhead Studios, launched in 2019, is a part of the renowned EveryMatrix group and is involved in the design of high-end tailor-made quality slots for top online casino brands in regulated markets. To date, Spearhead Studios works with over 100 operators and several Tier-1 casino aggregators. The most popular of these are the SoftSwiss platform and the Betsson group. This agreement with Playtech will considerably increase its reach. Spearhead games are certified in over 15 national and offshore jurisdictions across Europe and the Americas. It has been approved by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission, which alone is an indicator of quality and fairness. Spearhead Studios has also been certified by the Malta Gaming Authority, one of the oldest regulatory authorities in the world.

James Frendo, casino director at Playtech, said about the agreement, “Our focus at Playtech is to deliver world-class casino software to our partners. Integrating Spearhead Studios’ content into our burgeoning portfolio is another step in supporting our partners in delivering the best possible casino experience to their players.”

The Spearhead Studios Casino Games Portfolio

The Spearhead Studios portfolio consists of over 40 games, including a few that are slated for release in the coming weeks. Almost all of them are online slots, the exceptions being solitary titles in the video poker, blackjack and roulette categories. The contemporary slots player looks for themes suited to their temperament and Spearhead Studios has all popular bases covered. Enter a fantasy world in Black Forest, join buccaneers on the high seas in Pirates of the Mediterranean, go retro in Fruits & 777s or play with the bulls and bears in Wilds of Wall Street II. You can try Spearhead Studios games on FlashCasino.org’s free online casino slots page.

Spearhead Studios has stepped up the frequency of new releases and has announced that over 40 new titles will hit the shelves in 2021. Interest and expectation are bound to be greater about the slot games that are soon due for release and we give you an exclusive preview of some of these.

  • Cold Gold (release date 18 May): This slot machine features an unusual theme of the Cold War of the 20th century. While the blocs battle it out, players will enjoy the moderate volatility and the maximum line win of 3500x.
  • Knights of Fortune (release date 20 May): The medieval theme has eternal popularity and this slot game is bursting with features – 243 ways, cascade wins, return of collected wilds and incremental payout multipliers.
  • Book of Muertitos (release date 25 May): Ever since the Bond movie Spectre featured the Day of the Dead festival, slot games with ornamented skeletons have begun to pop up. This is Spearhead Studios’ contribution to the genre.
  • Spicy Fruits (release date 1 June): Yet another addition to the growing retro theme slots section of the portfolio. The highlights include paylines that award wins both ways and the pepper symbol triggering a unique respins feature.
  • Aztec Star (release date 8 June): This slot is different from the run of the mill product because it features four Aztec warriors, male and female, in life-like ethnic finery.

What Else Is New at Playtech

Mathias Larsson, managing director at Spearhead Studios, commented when announcing the agreement, “Playtech is a household name in iGaming with an extensive network of clients in all major regulated jurisdictions around the globe. Making our content available on Playtech Games Marketplace is a statement of our quality content, and we’re very excited to start this partnership.”

Spearhead Studios is not alone in this. A number of others in the online casino gaming field have recently announced tie-ups with Playtech.

1. ComeOn Group

The ComeOn Group has taken Playtech on board to power its popular brands of online casinos that include ComeOn, Mobilebet, Sunmaker and Snabbare. 2. Sky Vegas

Sky Vegas and Playtech have had a fruitful partnership, which is now being taken to the next level. Playtech will create for Sky Vegas players a separate dedicated live casino studio. The facility will be located in Riga, where Playtech already possesses infrastructure and administrative capabilities. The initial launch will see Sky Vegas Live Casino showcase Playtech’s Live Roulette and Live All Bets Blackjack tables, both of which are fully scalable and allow an unlimited number of players to sit together at one time.

3. Parx Casino

Playtech announced that additional products will soon be rolled out in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana and other jurisdictions in the United States.
