Ara Fell: Enhanced Edition Set Release On March 16th For PC, PS4, Xbox, Switch

Stegosoft Games and Dangen Entertainment announced that the enhanced edition of Ara Fell is scheduled to release on home consoles and PC starting March 16th. This has been a long time in the making, and the enhanced edition contains tons of stuff.

The trailer is basically just a recount of the actual gameplay mechanics. However, back in the summer of 2019 there’s a Steam community thread that outlines that they’ve added new maps, an overhauled battle system, all new 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratio for widescreen displays, and 4:3 support as well, along with 60fps support.

That just barely touches the surface of the Ara Fell: Enhanced Edition. The thread outlines how there are four new side-quests, a new turn-based battle system, new abilities, new upgrades, new augments, and all new difficulty modes.

Some of the other big changes includes all new animated enemies, enemy skills, boss mechanics, as well as overhauled lights, weather, and special effects.

From the quality of life perspective Stegosoft added integrated autosave after major events, along with Steam and Twitch integration.

The overhauled turn-based combat mechanics were accompanied by an all new equipment crafting, the ability to class-change, and the ability to swim.

The RPG Maker-presentation from the original Ara Fell was overhauled to better represent the classic 16-bit SNES era. The trailer alone makes it rather clear that the game certainly plays far less like a typical RPG Maker outing, especially with the way you can make your way through trap-filled dungeons, where you have to dodge spikes, avoid endless pits, and use both your wits and tactics to get out alive.

The standard version of Ara Fell is still available over on Steam for $9.99, but Ara Fell: Enhanced Edition will be available on Steam, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch starting March 16th.
