Android 21 Confirmed As A Playable Fighter In Dragon Ball FighterZ

It was mentioned in the past that the new Dragon Ball character, Android 21, was going to be a playable character in Bandai Namco and Arc System Work’s Dragon Ball FighterZ. Well, it has been confirmed that she is truly playable. Dragon Ball FighterZ will debut across PC, PS4, and Xbox One on January 26th in the West, and on February 1st in Japan.

Thanks to publication site shonengamez.com we get to see Android 21 — a waifu gaining popularity quite quickly in the Otaku community — in action via new screenshots. Instead of wasting time explaining stuff, you can check out the new screens below.

The good news about these screenshots is that a gameplay trailer or video always follows suit, much like with Nappa, Ginyu, Beerus, Hit, Kid Buu, and many other confirmed playable fighters in the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster.

Anyway, while we usually see Android 21 in her checkered outfit with her lab coat, this time we see her as a Majin. I’m not sure if there will be a way to transform her or not during battle, but the human-like appearance is often seen in the story mode clips, while this new version looks to be in the multiplayer mode.

You can check out the original character’s stats that was made specifically for Dragon Ball FighterZ below:

  • Ease of Use: A
  • Power: B
  • Speed: A
  • Reach: S
  • Technique: S
  • Energy: B

According to the publication site, Android 21’s Special move happens to be “Tasting Cut”. This move drives her forward and grabs the opponent to absorb their energy. She can then use the skills of the opponent she absorbed like “Kamehameha”.

It is said that when she absorbs Krillin’s energy, she can use “Solar Flare”. In other words, the more you know each character across the game’s roster the more powerful Android 21 will become, similar to Shang Tsung from the earlier Mortal Kombat games.

Lastly, her Meteor Special move is “Hungry Time”. Android 21 will turn the opponent into a macaroon, which in turn forces the person out of play.
