Toukiden Kiwami Gameplay Walkthrough

One of the games that launched on Steam that few people thought they would ever see is Koei Tecmo’s monster slaying action title, Toukiden: Kiwami, a title that originally launched for PS4 and PS Vita. The game was met with a lot of resistance on Steam for its lack of proper optimization and options for PC. However, that hasn’t stopped gamers from buying it regardless. Those looking for a walkthrough have a few options available for the action, hack-and-slash RPG.

The game is described as Koei’s take on the popular Monster Hunter genre. The game sees players taking on the role of an Oni slayer out to rid the land of increasingly dangerous monsters.

You can check out a walkthrough of the game below from Musou Gaming Channel, which covers a large portion of the game’s mechanics, character upgrading and how to take on each of the bosses in the game. Each of the missions have various conditions and rules in order to complete them, ranging from time limits to special requirements for facing off against the bosses. You can check out the playlist for the walkthrough below.

There are 103 videos capturing the different missions, monsters and Oni in the game, but if you were looking specifically for a video to help you face off against the game’s final boss, there is a video for that.

YouTuber DeathFox provides a 14 minute video of Toukiden: Kiwami and the showdown with the final boss in the game. You get an idea of what sort of weapons and equipment are best suited to take on the multiple tendrils of the big baddie at the end of the game. You can check out the video below.

And yes, you aren’t the only one who noticed that there is no sound in the video above. DeathFox had to disable the sound lest the video get flagged by Koei Tecmo.

Of course, for PC gamers who don’t have a proper controller or gamepad, it may not matter if there are hints, tips or cheats in any kind of guided walkthrough because trying to play the game with a keyboard and mouse is a real task.

Nevertheless, Koei is working on Toukiden: Kiwami and fixing it up for PC gamers, slowly but surely. You can learn more about the game by paying a visit to the official website.
