Slated to land on Steam Early Access sometime this Summer, developer Iteration 11 recently put its game Void Destroyer 2 in the “Coming Soon” section. This means folks will be able to get their hands on the space sim early for PC, which is set to officially drop sometime in early 2017.
If you enjoy flying space ships around an open sandbox, or simulator, you will find that developer Iteration 11 will bring just that in Void Destroyer 2. Stepping in as the sequel to the first version, the game seems to offer the same bright colors and comic-book style design that the first delivered. I should point out that the game is still in its alpha stage and that its graphics and mechanics will change on release.
Looking over to the mechanics of the game, folks will start off as a lone pilot in search of building up their very own space empire. This will be enhanced by mining resources, and strategically taking over various outpost and bases to help build future equipment. In addition, this opens up a list of opportunities as noted below.
“Void Destroyer 2 is a space sandbox game set in a desolate asteroid field. These are dangerous times with many opportunities, for the explorers, the brave, the cunning, and the ruthless.”
Taking on RTS, FPS and TPS functions with real-time space sim mechanics, players will be able to coordinate different strategies and attacks with more depth with all of the functions listed above. Furthermore, space sim fans will find the typical flying and shooting mechanics in this game, but with the ability to switch to different ships at anytime.
Moreover, It’s worth noting that the two video trailers below come in as “Pre-Alpha” videos. This means that they aren’t graphically complete, but they do provide a nice amount of information pertaining to Void Destroyer 2. You can watch the two video courtesy of Paul Z.
