Developers CyGames decided to take their PS Vita adventure platform game Airship Q, and rename it and porte it over to PC with a shiny new title, Wondership Q.
Wondership Q is a cute 2D platformer that started with a small team of just three people working to finish the game. The story follows the lead protagonist after they have been cursed by a witch and turned into a cat. To make matters worse, the main character’s brother has been kidnapped, and it is up to you to get him back.
The story campaign follows the little cat’s adventures through the skies on your airship as you battle enemies, dodge deadly traps, and upgrade and craft new equipment. The developers released the Story mode gameplay trailer to showcase a bit of what the game has to offer. Check out the linked video down below.
Wondership Q has a second game mode where you can build you own custom level designs and then proceed to play them, adding more re-playability to keep you coming back for more. The level builder looks a lot like other world building games, a bit similar to Terraria, where you can put down floor tiles, add in walls, and a variety of items to build your own custom content.
The developers have a video showcasing how the world building system works and how easy it is to put together your own player made stages, so I grabbed that link as well. Check out the world creation video below.
Now that Wondership Q is attempting to come to Steam, I wonder if they will allow Steam Workshop content to easily upload and share your stages with people around the world? It only makes sense to be able to play through content made by other users to keep the game fun.
However, before you will be able to play it for PC, Wondership Q must first make it through the voting process on Steam Greenlight. If you are interested in seeing more of Wondership Q, you can follow the provided links for more information about the game and to cast your vote.
