Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization contains quite a bit of stuff, and some of it is detailed in the latest update by Bandai Namco. Some of the things listed about the game include raids and skills, amongst many other features. SAO: Hollow Realization is due out for PS4 and PS Vita on October 27th in Japan, and sometime this Fall for the West.
Bandai Namco has shared information that details Sword Art Online’s skills and things to expect from the raids in the game, as well as some features in the Town of Beginnings.
One of the new systems that Hollow Realization will implement is Skill Allied. This feature connects combos that the team performs together to deal higher damage than normal. Once it is activated blue arrows will indicate the order of the link so that players can visually see what is happening.
Looking over to the starting city, Town of Beginnings, you can buy items, connect with friends, and interact with over 300 NPCs. There are different things and activities you can participate in like trading items, relaxing at the cafe, prepping your equipment, and recruiting NPCs as teammates.
In addition to the NPCs, you can be friends with them and receive special messages from all 300, that is if you take the time to friend each one. You can also reply to them to increase your friendship, which I can only image what people will say to them on their spare time.
Lastly, boss raid battles will let up to 4 parties of 16 people jump into the mix. This means that other teams (even rival teams) can fight along side each other to take down raid bosses. However, during the boss fight, the Skilled Allied system can be used between teammates to increase damage dealt to the boss.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization will be available for PS4 and PS Vita on October 27th over in Japan, and will come out for the West sometime this Fall.
