Recently EA and DICE did a panel during Star Wars Celebration Europe at the ExCeL London Exhibition Centre, and revealed a new teaser trailer for Star Wars: Battlefront. Folks still following and playing the game also will gain access to two new characters soon, including Bossk and Chewbacca, later when the DLC comes out for Xbox One, PC and PS4.
To be upfront and honest, I don’t like Star Wars: Battlefront and I’m not fond of DLC either. Having played the beta myself and experiencing a lack luster time, seeing the above almost made me feel like Thug Life’s soldier, Givi, and not caring anymore about the game. But if you still care, EA and DICE have a new slate of downloadable content up their sleeve for you.
During the panel the devs showcased a new trailer teasing a space battle revolving around a Star Destroyer and the mighty Death Star. The Death Star expansion is due out this fall, and will bring with it some new playable heroes in the Star Wars universe. You can check out one of the screenshots below.
The new characters consist of Bossk and Chewbacca. The two also arrive alongside the information that a fourth expansion will come out after the Death Star DLC entitled Rogue One: Scarif. This DLC is set to debut around the Holiday season. With that said, Chewbacca can be seen running in a hanger with some rebel soldiers in a “Behind EA’s Star Wars Games” image.
This now brings us to the new trailer that the team sent out, showing the Death Star and the trench run scene in a near minute video. You can check it out below courtesy of EAStarWars.
As of now, the Death Star expansion will be available to those who have the season pass during September, which will bring new ground and space missions, weapons, Star Cards and two new Heroes. Star Wars: Battlefront is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
