Watch This!: Brutal First-Person Survival Game Set To Hit Early Access On July 8th

CivilSavages’ upcoming game Watch This! has players running in a spaceship trying to please viewers from afar by avoiding death traps to survive. In addition, if you think sitting in a safe space and watching others dying for your entertainment is fun, this game has players doing just that but in first-person. Watch This! is set to come out for PC via Steam Early Access tomorrow.

If you can recall the arcade game Smash TV that revolved around a futuristic game-show having contestants compete for various prizes, while putting their lives on the line, CivilSavages’ upcoming game Watch This! almost reflects the above. You can read the official description below.

“«Watch This!» is a first-person single player platformer with horror elements. You are the star of the newest, most spectacular show. Avoid traps, hide from the monsters, rescues out of the maze … Or die. The key is to entertain billions of viewers!”

I’m sure that there will be loads of blood and gore as players attempt to please the audience back on Earth when trying to make it to the end in this game. However, there will be randomly generated parts in maps to force players to scavenge rooms while adding a dose of fresh jump scares as no two rooms will sport the same traps or enemies.

You can check out the game’s Greenlight trailer that shows a small amount of gameplay. The video only runs for 43 seconds and comes in by CivilSavages‘ YouTube channel.

Besides running around in a death-trap spaceship filled with walls, floors and ceiling traps, there will be three different types of monsters that will roam around attempting to kill you. To help out, players can use two out of 15 bonuses at a time to help out with surviving. If that seems interesting, Watch This! is set to come out for PC via Steam Early Access on July 8th.
