Injustice 2 Roster Adds Suicide Squad’s Harley Quinn And Deadshot

During this year’s GamesCom event taking place this week in Cologne, Germany, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios unveiled the latest promotional trailer for Injustice 2, featuring members from the Suicide Squad.

Clocking in at a minute and a half, the trailer reveals Harley Quinn and Deadshot joining the cast of heroes and super-villains in Injustice 2. You can check out the trailer below.

As you can see, it appears as if Harley is a mixed bag between her Batman: Arkham rendition and the one from David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, which recently released into theaters worldwide.

She has the red and black bodice coupled with a sleek leather jacket and the pigtails and make-up that Margot Robbie sports from the movie.

Her outfits seem to run across a smorgasbord of variety, with some of her outfits hearkening back to her days on Batman: The Animated Series, while her other outfits are more concurrent with her present day depictions.

Her default outfit looks pretty cool, personally speaking.

Her moves are a mix of fun trickster attacks and a few of Erron Black’s moves from Mortal Kombat X. You can always expect NetherRealm to recycle where they see fit. Unlike some of the characters from the first Injustice who had borrowed moves from Mortal Kombat 9, the Erron Black twin-pistol combo actually fits in line with Harley just fine.

We also get to see Deadshot in action.

He only gets some freeze frames, some quick edits and some snippets here and there. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s mostly a mish-mash of Kano and Deathstroke from Mortal Kombat X and the first Injustice, but I honestly couldn’t tell given how little we were able to see of him in action. We’ll likely get to see more when he gets his own individual trailer where his moves are able to shine more under an exclusive showcase.

Injustice isn’t due out until next year for PS4 and Xbox One. If Warner Bros., could afford to pay a proper port house to do more than a half-done job on their PC games, maybe we could a decent PC port of Injustice 2.

Anyway, you can learn more about the game by hitting up the official website.
