The medieval game Of Kings And Men is finally up on Steam Early Access. Green Man Gaming Publishing and Donkey Crew announced this information on their main site. The PC game is running a special 10 percent off deal, dropping the price down from $24.99 to $22.49, and said deal is set to end on September 1st.
If you are looking for another medieval game that mixes third-person action, strategy, MMO and RPG elements all in one game, Donkey Crew’s Of Kings And Men might be something of interest.
It’s worth noting that the game is still in Early Access. This means that bugs, unbalanced weapons and armor and other problems will be very prominent during this stage of the game’s development. However, if you don’t know the full details on Of Kings And Men, the devs description sits below:
“Of Kings And Men allows you to experience huge, player-driven battles like no other. Engage in massive combat with more than 200 players, capture territories, or practice your fighting skills in competitive matches with intuitive melee combat.”
Although, from what I’ve seen of the game, I don’t think that it’s worth $24.99 or $22.99. It seems a little pricey for an Early Access title that may or may not see completion, but at the moment a lot of people seem to like the game — reflecting a rating of “Very Positive”.
If Of Kings And Men seems interesting to you, there are two videos that you can watch showing in-game footage. The first video comes in by the devs official channel, while the second comes from eNtaK.
The game will feature factions and team battles against enemy kingdoms. The battles system is also accompanied by skills that can be leveled up through practicing.
Additionally, battling and learning new skills coincide with a progression system in the game that unlocks swords, pole-arms, spears, bows, crossbows and other weapons found during the 13th Century. This progression system also allows customization of weapons and armor.
Of Kings And Men is currently for PC, and has a special 10 percent off deal that brings the main price down from $24.99 to $22.49, ending on September 1st. If you want, you can check out the game over on Steam Early Access.
