(Last Updated On: September 1, 2016)

As of recent, there’s some good news for Dragon Quest Heroes 2: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End, and then there’s some bad news for Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. Although the latter holds some bad news for folks, the former brings forth a playable demo over on the Japanese PlayStation Store.

That’s right, the demo for the PS4 version of Dragon Quest Heroes 2 has been sent out for curious fans to try out. This, of course, is for the PlayStation Store in Japan that is displayed over on store.playstation.com.

In case you are wondering the demo stands as a 4.1GB download and may vary depending on if any updates are seeded. Additionally, the demo lets fans play all the way from the beginning of the action adventure RPG until the arrival in Zebion. I bet this will give folks a good ideal whether or not they want to get the game.

As for the bad news, the other game in the Dragon Quest series, better known as Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, has been delayed to 2017. The game once sported a release date of 2016 and has now moved to next year, which Nintendo announced.

In case you are wondering about its previous announcement, the upcoming version of Dragon Quest VIII was said to come this year for the 3DS, which was announced via Nintendo Direct.

As of now, Dragon Quest Heroes 2: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End has launched over in Japan on May 27th, and is for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. Western fans will have to wait until the devs announce the game’s release date.

Looking over to the 3DS game, Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King is set to come out sometime next year, instead of the later part of this year.
