Koei Tecmo Reveals Toukiden 2 Western Release Set To Drop Early 2017

As of recent, Koei Tecmo revealed news pertaining to their upcoming games’ Western release dates. This spans across games like Toukiden 2, Atelier Firis: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Journey, Nights of Azure 2, and Samurai Warriors: Sanada Maru. Toukiden 2 released over in Japan on July 28th, and is currently available for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita.
Western fans looking forward to the popular demon hunting RPG game, Toukiden, will find that the second installment in the series will launch early 2017. As of course, this was announced by Koei Tecmo — who also revealed other titles heading Westward.

If you aren’t familiar with Koei Tecmo and Omega Force’s game, Toukiden 2 takes players on an Oni-hunting ride that’s open world and filled with all sorts of strange characters. The second installment also features exploration, a town to visit and caves that hold dangerous Oni demons.

While taking on the mantle of a Slayer, players will be in charge of defending humanity’s last village from the ferocious demons lurking the fields. Each of these demons call for players to exercise different weapons to exterminate them and rid the land of dangerous threats.

As of now, the game isn’t set to release on any platforms yet for the West. This means that it could potentially gain a PC version early 2017, which would be pretty cool. However, it has been noted by Koei Tecmo that the release date, as well as additional information, will drop in the following weeks, so I’m sure that will happen in the mid-to-late part of this month.

Toukiden 2 released over in Japan two months ago on July 28th, and is currently available for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. For more information on this game you can head on over to koeitecmoeurope.com.
