Bethesda and Arkane Studios have released a new trailer that’s not all that new, but it’s new enough given that it does show some in-game footage compiled across a newly posted nine minute long trailer. Prey is set to come out for Xbox One, PS4 and PC sometime during the Spring of 2017.
In this iteration of Prey you will not be a bounty hunter fighting crime across the galaxy. Instead, you will be a part of a spaceship science crew in a thriller-like setting. The game that Bethesda and Arkane Studios will release sometime next year now has a new trailer, which isn’t actually a new trailer but a compilation of older trailers put together that appeared at The Game Awards 2016.
Moreover, the newly posted trailer arrived with a full description that goes over what folks can expect before Prey drops later in the future:
“Powers. Tools. Weapons. Aliens. And a massive space station. In signature style, Arkane Studios’ sci-fi thriller blends simulation and narration, dropping you into a carefully crafted world, then setting you free to play as you want. Watch almost nine minutes of pure Prey gameplay, with some light narration from Creative Director Raphael Colantonio and Lead Designer Ricardo Bare.”
The video runs through all of the previously released videos for Prey that cover weapons, exploration, enemies and much more. You can check out the trailer courtesy of Bethesda Softworks.
Seeing that this game will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One next year, I really do hope that Arkane Studios releases the PC version without any problems. Seeing how Dishonored 2 could drop in frame-rates to abysmal numbers on PC was just embarrassing. Hopefully the game, Prey, releases much better than Dishonored 2 without issues that can lead to the overall game being almost unplayable.
Lastly, Prey is set to debut for Xbox One, PS4 and PC sometime during the early part of Spring in 2017.
