Ubisoft announced that the Year 2 Pass has just launched for Rainbow Six: Siege. The the Year 2 Pass features access to various operators and paid content for the game, and also comes in the Year 2 Gold Edition of Rainbow Six: Siege, which contains all of the Year One operators.
The pass contains VIP perks for those who purchase the Year 2 Pass before February 7th, 2017. The VIP membership perks will be available up until February 7th, 2018, and it features seven day early access to every new operator added to Rainbow Six: Siege, as well as a 10% discount on in-game items on the cash shop, two additional daily challenges to earn some extra goods, and a 5% renown boost when unlocking new content added to the game.

• 8 new Year 2 operators across 4 seasons
• 8 exclusive headgear customizations
• 8 exclusive uniform customizations
• R6 Carbon charm
• 600 R6 Credits to purchase in-game content
I wonder how well fans will take the Year 2 Pass? So far it has a very positive rating on the Steam store page where you can pick it up for $29.99.
The reactions basically center around gamers saying that Ubisoft is doing right by Rainbow Six and the DLC is being done right proper. If you have people praising you for doing DLC right in this day and age then trust that you’ve made a huge breakthrough like someone being able to convince a SJW that there’s corruption in media journalism.
Ubisoft’s take on the DLC centers around providing gamers with free maps while the operators and the customization features are paid for. This sees gamers playing through the game and unlocking new content and features without being segregated through map demarcations, which is what happens oftentimes with Battlefield and Call of Duty games.
