Sniper Elite 4 Story Trailer Released
(Last Updated On: December 6, 2016)

The first major story trailer for Sniper Elite 4 has gone live from Rebellion, giving gamers a dossier-like rundown of the main mission that players will have as they engage enemy combatants on the frontlines of Sicily.

The new trailer clocks in at two minutes, giving gamers a slideshow like presentation of the story for Sniper Elite 4. The accented voiceover explains how disinformation and a weakened state of affairs in Italy is how they plan on toppling the Third Reich in the region.

You can check out the trailer below, which is short on gameplay and in-engine footage but lays out what your purpose and plan is quite readily.

The trailer indicates that the role of the player will be to disrupt enemy forces and cajole the rebellion through decisive actions against Hitler’s forces, all while dwindling the enemy presence in Italy.

Gameplay is expected to be similar to Sniper Elite 3, only newer and improved, and with a core focus of the Xbox One and PS4 being the primary platforms instead of the age-old Xbox 360 and PS3.

This time around there will be no support for the decade old seventh-gen consoles, only the PC, Xbox One and PS4 are on the table this time around.

You won’t have to wait long for the game to launch, as Rebellion is targeting a February 14th, 2017 release for Sniper Elite 4. They’ve been pushing for gamers to pre-order so that free access to the “Target Fuhrer” DLC will be available, featuring new skins and a campaign mission. Of course, I’m no fan of pre-ordering so only the most die-hard of Sniper Elite followers will likely want to get in on that action.

You can follow the development of the game by paying a visit to the official Sniper Elite 4 website, or hang back and wait for February to roll around to pick up a copy of the game either digitally or physically for your system of choice.
