Destiny: Xur Location And Items Jan 6th, 2017

Xur’s first appearance this year isn’t all that great nor all that bad. In this guide folks will learn where to find the Agent of the Nine and what items he’s selling this weekend. Bungie released Destiny for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One, while the DLC, Rise of Iron, is only available for Xbox One and PS4.

If you are wondering where derpy Xur is this week you’ll be able to find him in the same location as last week, which is in the Reef. Once you spawn in you’ll find him near the usual locked door selling his exotic items.

This week Xur is selling the Helm of Inmost Light (helmet for Titans), the Light Beyond Nemesis (helmet for Warlocks), and the Young Ahamkara’s Spine (gauntlets for Hunters). As for other items he’s selling, Xur has Sparrow Upgrades, Heavy Ammo Synthesis, Three of Coins, Monte Carlo, Legacy Heavy Weapon Engram (don’t buy), Mote of Light, and Exotic Shards.

A video guide by Mesa Sean is up for you to watch, which his run with Xur ends around 3:01 out of the six minute and 30 second long video. You can check out his video that also features other vendors around the location.

If you are skimming through and need a rundown on the pricing on each item in Xur’s inventory, a list sits below for you to look over in case you are in a hurry or skimming through.

  • (Titan Helmet) Helm of Inmost Light – 13 Strange Coins
  • (Hunter Gauntlets) Young Ahamkara’s Spine – 13 Strange Coins
  • (Warlock Helmet) Light Beyond Nemesis – 13 Strange Coins
  • (Auto Rifle) Monte Carlo – 23 Strange Coins
  • (Engram) Legacy Heavy Weapon – 31 Strange Coins.

TL;DR: Pick up Three of Coins and maybe a Heavy Ammo Synth. Skip out on all the other armor sets, unless you want to re-roll the stats on the Young Ahamkara’s Spine. Don’t waste your time on the Legacy Engram, but if you are into Auto Rifles and the Monte Carlo and using grenades and melee you can give it a go — although being out gunned in PvP gunfights using said weapon will be likely.

Bungie’s Destiny is out now for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. As for the expansion known as Rise of Iron it is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
