Malicious Fallen Heads To PS4 February 21st With 1080p, 60fps Support

Looking for a super fast, super clean, super fun game to play on the PS4? Well, if you’ve been waiting four years for one maybe Alvion’s Malicious Fallen will do the trick.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, product manager Yota Ando revealed that the PS3 series will be remastered for PS4 and on top of that they’re adding brand new content to the fast-paced, action hack-and-slash game.

The title is very much what laid the groundwork for games like The Game Bakers’ Furi. According to Ando Malicious Fallen is centered around advancing through challenging maps to face off against various bosses. The gameplay is like a mix between Dynasty Warriors and… well… Furi. If you’re familiar with either game you should be right at home with the way the fighting and combat works in the game.

To get an idea of what they have in store come February 21st, they released a trailer for the PS4 rendition of the game that you can check out below.

In addition to new levels, remastered old content and improved visuals, they’ve also upped the resolution so that the game runs at native 1080p. The frame-rate has also been stabilized at 60 silky smooth frames per second.

Additionally, Ando revealed that the PS4 Pro version of the game will receive special features as well, but he didn’t go into any details about it. I’m wary that they’ll be able to squeeze 4K out of something like Malicious Fallen, especially given that the game relies so heavily on fast, smooth frame-rates. 4K would disrupt that pitch-perfect 60fps, sort of like putting a body length tattoo of Keith Richards on Gisele Bündchen.

Nevertheless, I’m sure they’ll detail what specifically PS4 Pro gamers will be able to take advantage of when Malicious Fallen launches on February 21st next month.
